Glass fiber reinforced concrete (GRC) has the advantage of strong endurance and high resistance to the elements and the various weather extremes, it also has the advantage of cohesion between particles, which makes it impervious to water and resistant to moisture as well as having the advantage of non-flammability and non-conductivity of electric current and non-susceptible to insect infestation or growth of fungi and microbes, are not affected by rodents. It is also and colorable accepting the different kind of paints with the use of alkaline resistant glass fiber (A-R Fiber), produced by(CEMFil)English Co. and N. E.G Japanese Co, which is manufactured by adding zirconium oxide to the wire molten glass at a temperature of 1300 degrees Celsius to emerge from several holes (200-250) slot aperture of the diameter is 20 microns and each is a mixture of single packages coiled in the divisional tuft with different lengths (12 mm – 50 mm) depending on the type of product and the proportion of glass fiber is less than 3% of cement weight, or 5 % of the weight of the dry mixture.

GRC consists of a blend of potable water and normal Portland cement and fine sand sieved at 1 × 1 mm and the mixture is the reinforced with AR fiber (alkali-resistant), adding some additions in order to reduce mixing water without affecting machinability and some other additions in order to strengthen the cohesion between the particles and thus resistance to permeability of water provided that such additions do not intersect.

– Sand to cement ratio is 1:1
– Water to cement ratio is 33%
– The ratio of fiber to cement is 2: 3
– The ratio of cement to polymer is 5%
– The ratio of any addition to cement is 1%
